The Kalanchoe has a rich history. It is a member of the Crassulaceae family and originates from Africa and Asia. It was brought to Paris in 1927 and discovered by the German seed merchant, Robert Blossfeld, who later introduced the Kalanchoe as a houseplant, the Kalanchoe Blossfeldiana. Thanks to the efforts of Danish, American and Dutch growers, the Kalanchoe made its international breakthrough in the Eighties.
